The (Singapore) Cybersports & Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) is a newly founded association for Singaporean gamers and cyberathletes.
SCOGA was formed by a group of enthusiasts, many of whom have been in the gaming scene since young and now here to contribute back to this society in our little ways.
The committee is largely made up of managers/coaches and professional/semi-professional/competitive gamers of the Singapore gaming scene. We now also have parents, educators, and doctors.
The online gaming scene in Singapore is well and alive with independent and respected research firm IDC estimating more than 1million online gamers in Singapore. These numbers also correlate quite closely to other reports we have gathered separately.
Using eSports as a forerunner for gaming (in line with the global trend), SCOGA has engaged quite a number of organisations to support our cause.
Our partners will be unveiled in due course as we prepare for some major upcoming initiatives and events in the next 3-12 months.
In the meanwhile, do join our community forums www.scoga.org/forums to be part of the action and information loop!
Thanks again for your support as we strive to get eSports accredited by the Singapore government!
